Ausone’s notebook, instalment #amwriting #mondayblogs #cats #IARTG

Good morning, Humans.

Monday morning again and as expected the same ‘problem’. What, by Odin’s beard, to tell you this time?
Politics? Something about the American president? Nah, not in the mood. About the fact that the Turkish president claimed something about Nazis. Because Germany doesn’t want him doing something for his politics in Germany? You guessed it, not in the mood. The candidate of the French conservative party, claiming that nobody can force him to NOT presenting himself in the upcoming elections? Not wrong, but why should he present himself? Knowing that he will have a little problem explaining the ‘fictive’ work of his wife. His personal variation of a ‘zero hour contract’. His wife claimed that she was a 100% housewife. But she got well paid, very well. Yes, innocent until proven guilty. But he should know that this is only helping the ‘opposition’. Especially the far right opposition. Will this change the opinion of this guy? Miracles do happen. But I don’t think so. Belgian politics? Very calm, nothing new. No new scandal. But, you know, patience is a virtue.
A cat’s life? There was a storm over the weekend so I stayed mostly inside. Thus…nothing happened. Except…
I was, as usual, supervising what my human was looking at on his screen. And there was a lot about blogging.
One fellow blogger said he will restrict his blogging to once a week. And most importantly, stop looking at the statistics. Nice idea, could work. We’ll see how long he will cling to this.
Especially this not looking at the statistics. Good luck with your superhuman endeavour.
Another blogger had another very long article about blogging (Ugly side of blogging). With the most important thing (for my human, that is). Don’t ask yourself why this or that blog post went viral? There is no explanation. Sometimes it just happens. Did any of my human’s blog posts ever went viral? Depends on your definition of going viral. But on his much, much lower scale it is exactly the same. Some posts of him, he’s proud of. Could even be that it is one of my outings. Others less so. But neither of these two ‘feelings’ will tell anything about what may or not happen when the post is out there. To cut that story short. He’s just writing his posts (book reviews) and then we’ll see what happens. And exactly the same for my entries in the published notebook. When it’s out there it’s out there. That’s all we can do it. And if someone’s reading it we’re happy. And if no one’s reading it? ‘Tant pis’. We can’t do more than writing and publishing. Everything else we have no influence.
Eventually, for the sake of mental health, we should look a lot less on the statistics. But that’s easier said than done.
For ending my outing on a positive note. Milady took a new photo of me. Enjoy and thanks to Milady.
See you next week

  1. Kitteny writes: Ausone! Ausone! I nearly forgot your blog! There is so much going on here~the garden is full of small feathery dinners flying around. And the pond has green froggy things what don’t taste good but are fun to chase. Plus, the Little Fur Puller is in Japan so won’t be here for two whole weeks!!!! …….prrrt………………

    1. Hi Kitteny, Good to read you. No harm done forgetting my rubbish. There are more important things in life than my ramblings. Realized that I brag less? Still the same feathery ones in the garden. A lot of magpies and pigeons. And from time to time a pheasant or two. Nothing to hunt (I’m just a part time idiot) Please do not tell my human about the fur puller being in Japan, he might get jealous. And I hate to travel. Japan’s too far away and I’m afraid they will put me in jail on arriving there. See you
