Hello, humans (with a grumpy voice). It was, and still is pure horror. The guys were here all of the last week. Working every day, except Thursday. Every day noise, all windows open. Strange smells. Not only the guys, the paint. And it wasn’t warm last week. On the contrary,. imagine you leave the house, supervise hour kingdom. A nice little nap in the warmth would come in handy. But no. All windows open, chilly. Horror, pure horror. If I got my human right, it should end today. Let’s hope. I’m fed up. And we should not forget the other company who will take care of the pavement. They’ve already started up the road, close to the school. They were just twice down here. One time for putting some signs on the pavement. And the second time for cutting the upper layer of the road. What a noise. If you may have forgotten, cats don’t like noise. I’m a cat. At least it explains why they have announced that the work will last until end of next month. They start at 7:00 am and at 3:30 pm, they are gone. No matter what weather we have.
Let’s not forget there were/are some pleasant things. Every day, after the guys left and my human was allowed to close the windows. Can’t do that immediately, paint must dry. He made a nice fire to warm up the house. I can tell you there’s nothing as pleasant as a nice nap in front of a cosy fire. Just watching the flames has a very calming effect. And don’t forget you got the heat.
Besides that there’s not much going on in my little corner of the world. Ah, yesterday I caught a mouse. Arrived with it on the terrace. Put the damn thing down. Mouse started to play hide and seek with me. There are some flower pots, mouse tried to hide between the pots. I was trying to get that thing. The mouse did everything it could to hide. Unfortunately my human tried to ‘help’ me. Moving one of the bigger flower pots. Mouse jumped to the occasion, ran away, jumped down from the terrace to the ground (2 metres) and was gone. Human help.
Picture is one of the series of me napping in the nut harvest. And was, as usual, taken by my preferred artist.
See you next week, with the hope that there are no longer strange people disturbing my peace.
